These general terms and conditions of sale apply to all sales concluded using the Internet website www.lepetitprince.com

ARTICLE 3 : AVAILABILITY OF GOODS

We produce our showcase and our brochures using our own databases, enhanced with information provided by our suppliers. These databases contain more than 500 items. We do not keep all these items in stock and our offer is therefore conditional upon the availability of the items from the suppliers. Consequently, we cannot be deemed liable for any stock shortages.
Each customer is informed, either by post or on the invoice, of any ordered products which are not available.

Important : items which are unavailable are not deleted from our showcase unless the supplier has notified us that the item has been discontinued. In all other cases, you will be able to re-order the missing items. They will be delivered to you subject to availability from the supplier.

Some items can only be delivered within Metropolitan France. Such items are marked to that effect on the website (product details page).

Some forthcoming items are offered on the lepetitprince.com website in the Advance Orders section.
Items ordered in advance are dispatched on the date they go on sale.
Le Petit Prince Multimédia shall not be held liable for any marketing delays.




ARTICLE 4 : PRICES

Prices are given in Euro and are shown net, excluding carriage.
Books are sold in accordance with current regulations and more particularly in accordance with current French legislation on uniform book pricing, under which the book price, excluding carriage, is determined by the publisher.


The price is payable with order, in total and in one single payment.
All orders are invoiced in Euro and payable in Euro.


For deliveries outside Metropolitan France, any customs duty and/or local taxes are payable by the consignee.



ARTICLE 5 : CARRIAGE

Carriage charges comprise the cost of posting + an element for handling and packing.
They are inclusive and they comprise a fixed portion and a portion which varies according to the number of items ordered.

The geographic zone and the means of dispatch selected by you are the only factors which will affect the total.

Consider batching all your goods into one single order. We cannot combine two separate orders and you will be invoiced for carriage costs on each of the orders.



ARTICLE 6 : PAYMENT

LPayment is by credit/debit card. (Carte Bleue, carte Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard).
This method of payment provides the maximum guarantee of security.

You will have to provide the number of your card, plus the expiry date, either directly on the website in the area provided for this (input secured by SSL encryption), or by printing out this page, completing the form and sending it by fax to Le Petit Prince Multimédia on 33 (0) 40 33 31 07 (charged at standard call rate).



ARTICLE 7 : DELIVERY

Whether you are ordering from France or from abroad, we deliver to your door.
The delivery time comprises the time needed to prepare the package + the time to deliver it.
The average delivery time is 8 days for France, but this does not represent an absolute deadline and Le Petit Prince Multimédia shall not be held liable in the event of late delivery or stock shortage at the publisher or supplier.



ARTICLE 8 : No Quibble Guarantee: Satisfaction, exchange or refund

Product quality
Items supplied by Le Petit Prince Multimedia are brand new and guaranteed against any defect.
They are identical to items on sale in traditional retail outlets and come from the listed publishers and suppliers.
If it turns out that an item is defective or does not match its description, we undertake to exchange it or refund your money, on condition that it is returned to us in its original packaging together with the relevant Le Petit Prince Multimedia invoice within 15 days of receipt of the package. Return it to us at:

You will also receive a full refund of the cost of returning the package and we will put the exchange in hand immediately.
Where a refund is required, we guarantee that it will be made by bank transfer within 15 days or less following the date the returned package is received.
No dispatch in counter-reimbursement will be accepted, for any reason whatsoever.
Where the order involved use of a coupon or gift voucher, a refund is the only option (the full amount of the coupon or voucher will be re-credited).

Quality service
You have the right to return items for any reason. You can return an item to us within 15 days following receipt of your package (the item must be in its original cellophane wrapping and with the relevant invoice), indicating the reason for the return and giving the number of the invoice to which it relates. Please note: this guarantee does not apply to products which can be immediately copied and where the original seal is broken. For such products, your item will be exchanged or your money refunded as soon as possible, on condition that the item is intact and shows no sign of having been used.



ARTICLE 9 : TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP - TRANSFER OF RISK

Ownership of the products transfers to the purchaser only after full payment of the purchase price by the latter. This applies regardless of the delivery date of the aforementioned products.

On the other hand, the risk loss and/or damage of the products transfers at the time of delivery and receipt of the aforementioned products by the Purchaser.



ARTICLE 10 : RIGHT OF ACCESS AND CORRECTION

Professional Code of Ethics
Le Petit Prince Multimedia is concerned about protecting your privacy and therefore treats all information concerning you as strictly confidential. When you make purchases, we only ask you for information (surname, first name, address, email address) which we must have if we are to provide a high standard of order processing and monitoring.

Your rights
In accordance with French data protection legislation (the Loi Informatique et Libertés of 6 January 1978), you have the right to access and correct any data which concerns you. Through us, you may sometimes receive offers from other businesses and organisations and information about our offers by email, by telephone or by post.

The products offered meet the requirements of current French legislation. La Boutique Internet du Petit Prince accept no liability in the event that the item delivered does not meet the requirements of legislation in the country of delivery (censorship, banned titles or authors, etc.).

La Boutique Internet du Petit Prince shall not be held liable in the event of non-performance of contract due to force majeure (strike, flood, fire, etc.).

La Boutique Internet du Petit Prince shall not be held liable in relation to the content of any websites which can be visited via a hypertext link contained on our own website.



ARTICLE 12 : JURISDICTION

All the clauses contained in these general terms and conditions of sale, as well as all sale and purchase operations which are referred to in them, will be subject to French law. The Courts will be those of the jurisdiction of Paris, the Courts of the headquarters of La Boutique Internet du Petit Prince where the contract between the parties is made.



ARTICLE 13 : ACCEPTANCE BY THE PURCHASER

These terms and conditions of sale as well as the tariffs are expressly agreed and accepted by the Purchaser, who declares and acknowledges that they have a complete understanding of them, and who thereby waives the right to take advantage of any conflicting document and, in particular, his own general terms and conditions of purchase, the act of purchasing entailing acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale.

These terms and conditions may be amended at any time without prior warning.
