The association aims to
promote cultural exchanges among children of the world through
artistic creation. This idea was born out of the desire
to create links between children of various cultural backgrounds
and to awaken a feeling of international fraternity.
The Seventh Planet project rotates around
Saint Exupery's Little Prince.
Just as the Little Prince discovers planets
and their curious inhabitants, 7-11 year old children are
encouraged to imagine and draw their dream planet.
As we share these drawings around the world, we become the
messengers of these little princes and will do our best
to carry their dreams as far as possible.
Each child will be able to follow these planets along the
way from Marseille, to North America, Central Europe and
the Balkans, where other children will then imagine their
ideal planet. The drawings will be the thread of the project.
Each child will express his own vision of the world, his
world.
This project started in Marseille, France, in November 2002
and was followed by a 5 month tour in Chili, Argentina,
Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Uruguay. From May to June 2003,
we have exhibited in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland.
The circuit continues in Macedonia, Kosovo and Bulgaria.
The new "From a Planet to Another" project will
be organized with schools in Marseille and Central Europe.
Children will present a theatrical adaptation that conforms
to their individual culture, but is based on the theme of
planets visited by the Little Prince.
September-October 2003:
Meeting with children from Macedonia, Kosovo and Bulgarian
schools.
Creation of drawings. Exhibitions at the Alliance Française
of Bitola, at the Bureau de Liaison of France in Prishtina,
and at the Sofia Cultura Center.
