To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the publication of The Little Prince in France, the Monnaie de Paris unveils a new commemorative 2 euro coin. A symbolic edition that follows the tradition of collector coins while remaining true to the characteristics of the classic 2 euro coin.

The face of the coin features a pensive portrait of The Little Prince. In the background, the number 80, stars, and a planet appear. The inscription RF, the words The Little Prince, and the year 2026 complete the design.

The commemorative 2 euro coin celebrating The Little Prince is offered in BU Brilliant Uncirculated quality from January 29, presented in a sealed coin card. Four versions are available, each struck in 75,000 examples, priced at 12 euros, with a diameter of 25.75 mm and a weight of 8.5 g.

Proof quality BE versions are also available. They stand out through a play of textures combining sandblasted reliefs with a mirror-polished background, specific tooling, and very limited mintages. Presented in individual presentation cases with a numbered certificate, they are intended for the most discerning collectors.
