From January 27 to February 4, Silpakorn University hosted the “Talk of The Cloud: The Little Prince Planet” exhibition and activities around Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s masterpiece.

Visitors were able to discover rare objects from the Fondation Jean-Marc Probst pour Le Petit Prince and the private collection of Supoj Lokunsombat, initiator of the Thai project “Le Petit Prince en dialectes” with the support of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation.

The inauguration on January 27 was marked by a duo concert (piano and violin) and opening speech by Jean-Marc Probst and the director of Silpakorn University, followed by a lecture on “Love and the secret of the Little Prince” in the garden by Thanpuying Sirikitiya Jensen (niece of King Rama 10), assistant professor Walaya Wiwatsorn (translator of Saint Exupéry’s works) and Supoj Lokunsombat.

At the end of the event, a reading of The Little Prince in 28 languages brought together guests of honor such as the French Consul in Chiangmai, the Cultural Officer of the Swiss Embassy, etc., and the volunteers.

The theatrical concert “Le Désert, Les étoiles, Le Petit Prince” at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music was a great success on this occasion, and the Institute, in coordination with Professor Rassamee Paoluengthong, director of the theater, will repeat the show in March.

Later this year, the show will be installed at Galileoasis, Bangkok’s community arts space.
