Monnaie de Paris celebrates The Little Prince through commemorative and collector coins

15, May, 2026

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the publication of The Little Prince in France, Monnaie de Paris unveils two new coin collections inspired by the poetic universe imagined by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

The first brings together collector coins in silver and gold centered on the theme of travel, at the heart of The Little Prince’s adventures. Issued in denominations of €5, €10, €50, €200, and €500, this collection features airplanes, planets, compasses, telescopes, and luggage in original designs that invite escape and imagination. A way to celebrate both the initiatory tale of The Little Prince and the spirit of travel of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, himself an aviator.

The second collection highlights commemorative coins with several silver editions, including a €10 coin, a €100 coin, as well as a duo set bringing together the €10 and €50 coins. Through their engravings and symbols, these creations revisit the universe of The Little Prince in both a poetic and contemporary spirit.
