Berluti reinterprets The Little Prince through a luxury leather goods collection

22, Oct, 2026

Berluti unveils an exclusive collection inspired by The Little Prince, bringing together Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s work and the Maison’s exceptional craftsmanship. Revealed during Paris Fashion Week in June, this collection explores the connection between literature and craftsmanship through creations that bring the author’s drawings and manuscripts to life in leather.

To create this collection, Berluti drew inspiration from Saint-Exupéry’s sketchbooks, where drawings, manuscripts and thoughts intertwine. Rather than simply reproducing the illustrations from the book, the Maison seeks to capture its spirit through materials and the craftsmanship of its artisans.

The collection comprises fourteen leather goods and textile pieces, including bags, pouches and stoles, alongside five creations available by special order.

The Maison’s iconic Venezia leather becomes a canvas for artistic expression. Through laser engraving, patina, watercolour, tattooing and leather marquetry, artisans bring motifs from the story to life, including baobabs, mountains, the fox and the author’s preparatory sketches. Manuscripts and quotations are also incorporated into the leather.

This work led the artisans to develop new techniques to capture the delicacy of Saint-Exupéry’s lines and the subtle nuances of his watercolours. Leather thus becomes a language in its own right, with textures, colours and reliefs bringing a new dimension to the work.

The resonance also extends to an exclusive edition of the two volumes dedicated to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in Gallimard’s Bibliothèque de la Pléiade collection. Berluti has designed a presentation box and covers in patinated Venezia leather, adorned with laser-engraved manuscript excerpts and the author’s preparatory sketches. Limited to just 99 numbered copies, each set is conceived as a collector’s item.

One copy will also be auctioned in support of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation, extending the spirit of sharing at the heart of this resonance.

Beyond the collection itself, the collaboration will be brought to life through a series of activations around the world. Exhibitions will be held in Berluti boutiques, alongside auctions and private dinners for the Maison’s most loyal clients.
